I want to talk about why I started "The Learning Lodge."
I created this place because I wanted a community that I wished for, for a long time.
In university, I studied all day and felt lonely a lot. But then, I found a server called "Study Together" on Discord. It was a big place where people worldwide studied together. I used it for a few days and felt my focus getting better. It was great.
However, there were some disadvantages, which are:
I only used the server to feel less lonely back then.
That experience made me wonder:
What if I create a space only for people who are seriously trying to reach their goals?
If we could bring learners from around the world together, it wouldn’t just be a place to escape loneliness. It could be a place where we encourage each other every day and celebrate reaching our goals together, maybe even becoming lifelong friends. Having a global family that you can trust means you don’t have to be afraid of anything.
We want to help people who:
We want to create a space where people can grow together.
Many students have developed a habit of seeking only study methods. They wonder if there is a better way.
They keep expecting something good to happen and end up being afraid to take action.
When searching for new things or looking at information, we tend to mistakenly feel that we are growing. However, just watching YouTube videos, Tiktok or Instagram won't change anything.
Therefore, it is necessary to place oneself in an environment for taking action. I think that environment needs to be somewhat uncomfortable for oneself. For those who have been satisfied with consuming information for years and have felt fearful of taking action, they want to continue consuming information. That is their comfort zone. To get out of that comfort zone, 100% someone's help is needed. Habits are not weak enough to be changed alone.
As an example of breaking out of your comfort zone, The Learning Lodge requires you to turn on your camera while studying. This is unpleasant for everyone. But by showing yourself daily, you strangely gain confidence in yourself. Some members have become able to trust each other, and actual communication has increased.
Do difficult things every day. By doing this, you can overcome unpleasant and difficult things in your daily life.
Breaking bad habits and creating good habits requires a lot of time and help.
Therefore, I think what you need is not study methods, but an environment to change yourself.
For that reason, The Learning Lodge has been created based on psychology to accelerate habituation. And there is a coach who will support you. It takes time, but if you actively participate in this community, it is possible to grow.
